The Obamas’ endorsement came at the end of Kamala Harris’s first week as the Democratic Party’s expected nominee, following President Biden’s decision to withdraw from the race against his GOP rival, former President Donald Trump.

In a video delivered by the mission, Harris talked with the Obamas by telephone while she was in Indianapolis for an occasion on Wednesday.
